why can't there be a shop in the middle of the forest who uses gold coins as currency?

kill rats, rabbits and the like, however you shouldn't jab at snakes and wolves yet and DON'T fight bears
get a pole, some string and a sharp rock to make a normal self-respecting spear

Mortar & Pestle: 2 smooth rocks
Tannin: 1 tree bark (must have M&P)
Tanned Cloth: 1 raw hide and 1 tannin

you get tannin by using motar and pastel to ground up bark
you get motar and pastel from 2 smooth rocks
