This.  Your backpack is considered to be $10, for real.  Not kidding.  I made a giant friend monday out of myself on the Steam forums this way thinking my backpack was worth more than $20.

Mann Co Store prices =/= the "market" prices.  Every "trader" is an starfish anyways and will always haggle at the lowest price possible, all my TF2 "economists" friends keep bugging me to trade my hats for like 1 reclaimed.
