Blockland will not use maps anymore. So slate edits will not work, because they are maps.

Everything will be done through the environmental controls window, which will include add-ons for different types of skyboxes and such.

Edit: Which leads me to ask, will we be getting rid of the .mis filetype?

The only thing custom is skyboxes and specific settings for the maps. No more maps.

It's been explained time and time again why this isn't going to happen any time soon...

It worked for PSP so why not?

No more maps.
Looks like we're having a replacement section:  Textures.

No it didn't.

There was two things done on portable consoles.

One was someone making a new game entirely but just calling it "Blockland on the PSP".
Another one wasn't Blockland running on the handheld. It was running on the computer with the display being hooked up to the handheld.

Hopefully when the update comes out, we'll have presets that match the old slate maps, and the settings shown in the video.
