Author Topic: V21 what if my comp specs aren't good enough  (Read 4279 times)

What if my computer cannot run Blockland in v21? like, Its bad enough as it is but it can run blockland really fast without shadows, but seeing as v21 has shadows im not sure my computer will be able to run blockland anymore becuase, well mostly because it will probally lag my ass off

You will be able to turn shadows and shaders off, it's optional

You should be able to turn off shadows.

If not, buy a real video card.

I'm not entirely sure it will lag, but im thinking it will, seeing as when I downloaded the minecraft shaders I could not handle it,

But yeah, my blockland runs super fast :)

Minecraft is a completely different game though.

I'm sure Badspot and kompressor took their time to optimize the new shadows and shaders so that the don't slow down your comp allot.

And you can always turn off the shadows and shaders and Blockland will run like it did in v20.

whats the point in v21 without shadows?

wait, so if it really laggy, should I just buy a new graphics card?

Im not worrying too much, im expecting small lag, but not intense lag

I cant worry too much anyway, my comp specs are good on a level but bad in a way, and seeing as blockland runs on torque i have hopes that it will run smoothly

wwait, so if it really laggy, should I just buy a new graphics card?
A $30 graphic card would run the new additions with relative ease.

Why do I have th feeling that only people with garbage laptops play blockland.

oh thats good then..

This is my graphics card:

NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS

whats the point in v21 without shadows?

all following updates will be around the engine changes in effect.

its not just about maps and graphics you know... thats just the first update

NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS
I'm not going to take the time to look it up, but one easy thing to tell is whether or not it's an integrated card.

If it's integrated, that pretty much means it's really really low-end.
