Why would you want it anyway? It would be a pain in the ass to try and use.

Probably because it would require a keyboard and mouse.

The only tablet that will support Blockland is a Windows 8 Tablet, when they're out.

Thatd be cool. :D

I agree with Icy. It could be done.

Use Minecraft as a example, there is a mobile edition for that, and I know an iPad can handle running a it. I think Blockland would be easier on an iPad than Minecraft would, because the device must load and render a few thousand blocks every time the player moves

nope. Controls would suck, due to so many buttons being on the screen
it would be incredibly irritating.

im gonna say same thing i do everytime the discussion of blockland comes up for anything but a computer monitor on a computer video card.

it will look like stuff!!!!!!

blockland has notoriously terrible aliasing even on the pc.
the only thing that keeps my head from exploding is the fact that i can keep things at 1920x1080.

and even then i need at LEAST 4 anti aliasing to keep me sane. things arent even pretty until you can run it at 8+

the screen of a loving mobile device would just be disgusting. plus those gpus cant render anti aliasing settings anyway.

Because they paid $700 for a stuff OS and no improved specs comparded to my $200 laptop that runs Blockland at fine speeds and want to get all they can get out of a better computer

Are you really trying to argue tablet vs computer? That makes no sense Dark.

Absolutely not. What are you basing that on? There is no control scheme proposed currently, so its a baseless comment by someone too unimaginative to theorize a concept. Give it more thought please, I'd go as far to say it'd be easy to develop a control scheme. Very easy. I'll even post one if you want.

How could that be done?

... are you really asking me to post the entire development process of a 3D multiplayer app here? Honestly...

Eh, I've seen some pretty good 3D demonstrations on older editions of the iPad. I can't imagine a game based around cubes being too hard to render. ;)

Brief iPad Control Concept

Walk button on screen
While holding down walk button, tilt forward slightly to go ahead, tilt left and right to scuttle left and right
Three fingers to turn aim
Touch screen anywhere to aim and place brick
Double tap with two fingers to bring up brick menu
Swipe to scroll (brick cart, inventory)
Touch GUI buttons to make inventory appear and disappear, for light, and for emotes
Jet / jump combo button on GUI

Clean GUI, building and moving controls are gestures and tilting. Easy. You don't need as many build controls with a touch screen, thats what people don't get. It would also make sense to skip any unnecessary features like macro or Self Delete.

mmm can definitely see the rafts of computer knowledge you have shining through in this statement

No. Torque doesn't have a 3D engine on the iOS, so it wouldn't matter. It might, but I doubt it. I haven't taken a look at GG's site in a while.

Yawn...

the less curved models in a game, the more noticeable aliasing is

blockland is nothing but straight lines on a lower resolution technology then it deserves

ok bitches but what about team viewer?!?!!

Nope, not really. Maybe a link or something. XD

They have the technology to do it but aren't going to sell it yet. Why? Because if they release their best stuff they will have nothing to improve on and go out of business. This is why you see several companies make small updates for every new version...  money money money money money money

A laptop for $500 less has the same portablilty as an iPad, and it has better specs/display/OS. An iPad is a terrible deal even if it's 50% off. Plus it runs computer software, has better I/O, etc.
