LAN will not work

okay so, my LAN server will not appear in the LAN list, but my normal servers appear in the Online list.. What do i do?

1. are you actually hosting a lan?
2. people can only join that are using your same internet connection, so that means you need more than 1 computer in the same house
just making sure, you know what lan is

It takes you a day to get it
also i think LAN = Local Area Network
(i dont know if its that, im just guessing from the stuff i allready know)
