If I host a 2 month event, am I going to be satisfied with a 2-week server? Or a 2-day event?

that makes sense but the way you made it work is kinda odd
they're all the same price (absolutely nothing) so it doesn't really matter what plan you do because they can just perpetually renew, it'd be better to just ask how long they plan to have it up

I would probably agree to that. I'm not into the management of all of this (I just do the starter / stopper) - but I would say you're right about just asking.
