the corrupted ashbringer could totally fit into your lore story somehow and when the player completes the quest line at the end of it the player could wield the corrupted kings sword and become the new corrupted king!

EDIT: there most probably will be epic weapons that are almost impossible to get hidden in the game to give players a final objective.
