SWTOR going "Free-To-Play"
CreamTurk3y:
That's right! Star Wars: The old republic is going to free-to-play, who didn't see this coming? Of course knowing EA's bullstuff there's still a lot you can pay for. Here are the cons of being a free-to-play user.
-Can only participate in dungeons and PvP a few times each week.
-Can only play to level 50
-No raiding
-Spend real money for "Cartel Points" to purchase vanity items and remove some restrictions
-If you want to unlock anything else you must pay the monthly fee.
Well, what do you think? Is this better or worse than WoW's f2p?
otto-san:

all f2p gimmicks are handicapped and monthly fees are even more handicapped then that.

f2p is actually a really thought out thing.
you're the handicapped one.
DnaUnstable:
This f2p system is the result of a dying company floundering around buying it's own stocks and thinking of ways to get more popularity so it can dig itself out of the stuffter.
Yeah it didn't work.
