Old BL versions: okay to use?

I believe I heard somewhere that your key will get banned if you use/force an older version of blockland.
Is this true or can I use v8 to waste time while v21 is fixed?

If it was illegal to use older versions, Badspot would have removed them from the news history on Blockland.us

I don't think there's any problem with using them, and since large numbers of people are now unable to play the game on any version which triggers the game launcher, I think a lot of people are going to be doing so.
