Dowloading a stuff-ton of files every server I join.

After the update, I am constantly having to download tons of files every server I join. The average is usually around 500 files, and even 1500 at times. This is getting really frustrating. I have to sit and wait for the load longer than I play at the servers. Is this normal?

That's because of the amount of add-ons the server has.
Every file that you have to download is one add-on.

No.
Every file you download is one .dts or sound file.
