It was just released. And this isn't the full shadows and shaders update. Back when this was first announced kompressor said it will be off by default because of the optimization and bugs. Though they will continue to optimize it and work on it until it's ready to be enabled by default with no problems.

Woah didn't mean to pinch a nerve. Sorry. Also, i activated the add-ons that were not default but dont show up when i load builds. I'll bring that up in the help section.
