you don't need more than 80GB for windows 7 and he can use a slave 500GB drive for mass storage

SSDs will cut your boot time down by like 2 minutes

Like he needs to spend $80 just to loving cut down boot time and moving files. He's better off buying something that would actually improve his overall performance like a better CPU and more RAM

Also about that 500GB thing, I have 50GB left in my 500GB HDD ;-;

393 GBs left out of 931

500 < 578

That's why you get a small one.

i have 30 games installed on my 1TB and i'm at 430 not to mention windows 7 and a bunch of other crap.

80GB SSD = $100+
It's expensive even for being small. An SSD should only be taken in when you have the extra money, not waste it when you should be spending on more important parts like a CPU and RAM

yus
also you're going to need a new case if it's a dell because dell cases are notorious for not being compatible with some motherboards

thanks for this info

also, damn, i was not aware how much space gets taken up when you have that many games, i'm not sure i'll be able to get a new computer for awhile if this stuff costs this much.

it seems computers cost more than a vacation

i think i might just settle for buying a big 32 drawer thing and sorting my legos so i can satisfy my creativity :s
