Good idea. Except the side pane already has add-ons, music, and advanced tabs which complicates the layout slightly. |

Music would go into this list, and the add-on tab wouldn't be needed. You could just make a line or something with the advanced tab on the other side of the line. |

How about having expandable/collapsible headers above each category? It would be like RTB, but it would also clutter the sidebar less. And are you planning to add an option for switching coloursets? |
