True but the addon assumes the City's Original Founder (host) can always make changes to the city.

Come on, play along.

And:
Best not to join cheating hosts' servers. Not many participate in the game anyway.

I'm not saying it's right or acceptable for the host to cheat, because that's a very situation dependant question,
i'm saying you can't fully remove the possibility that the host can use the console whenever it's heart desires to twist the game to it's will.

Okay you can't, it doesn't matter.

The Host/City Founder has whats called Executive Orders, which is a nice way of still having power over the city even when someone else is in charge.

Executive Order 1: Rename the city.
Executive Order 2: Forced change of government.
Executive Order 3: Forced change of group in charge (Only non democratic cities).
Executive Order 4: Disband a group. (WARNING: Deleting the Police is not a good idea.)

forget the police

forget the police

On that note, if the host deletes the group they're in, its treated in the mod as if the group owner was disbanding their group.

More info about groups: A new group can set a certain color as their group color and the name above someone will be in that color showing what group they're a part of.

Stupid, stupid, stupid.

There should be no host control what so ever. Simply, there is a leader (mayor?) of the player base and if he gains enough control he can create havoc in his own ways, or be a good person and help the city. I've thought about the idea of government change, but then it's no longer a city, it's a nation, city's are within nations, changing your government would be a big problem.

If Springfield, Illinois suddenly chose to be communist or something, we'd be pretty forgeted. The main people doing it would probably be killed or imprisoned forever for treason. If you're planning on adding a system like this, I really suggest re-planning the idea to something like The Nation Project, which would actually be far cooler than a city, with it's own functioning politics and such, of course it'd still have it's old basic stuff like criminals and cops, but you would be able to build off so much more with a nation in your hands. But it'd be harder to maintain as you'd need a handful of people to actually start it; including mayors, presidents, etc. Although, what you could do is simplify it a bunch to a couple basic things. It'd be interesting to see people going for mayor or governor with their advertising.

This would take alot of time and effort to set up, but it would be a cooler, more interesting, and new idea. It'd really be a hit if you did it right.

Don't forget economy too!

The problem with that: The host has a console.

This is the problem with ALL cityrpgs.

edit: hory shet ninjad with my own quote

Sorry, what?

All the host should be able to do is ban and kick and keep order, everything should be ran by players. There should also be perma-death or perma-ban penalties for assassinations and such.

Are you trying to make a DarkRP type thing?

Actually your quote implied they couldnt ban or unban somehow, I guess I misread that.

Yes, it would be like that. But its a city instead of a nation for a reason: The bricks built would amount to the size of a city, its not meant to be perfectly realistic with scale.

In City³, the focus is on Groups - which is divided into 2 categories.

Companies... and just Groups.

The primary difference between them is that Groups can jail/take hostage while companies do entirely legit things like hire and such, which is subject to change.

The Police is a group that even if there are no members can continue to exist.

I will take some suggestions constructive criticism for City³, by the way.

Because realism is important in Blockland

It's ok, he's inexperienced and doesn't understand the benefits of realism.
