This is a roleplaying game.
People are't supposed to completely act how they would irl, I doubt Mack/Rings would do that in a real zombie apocolypse.

ok if you think it's a 'role playing game'
nobody plays a role in the game, nobody really develops a character, it's a survival game. and in survival games you dont betray your friends for their deeds and even better shoot them for said deeds.
