No. You can't do that in Sketchup.

There also aren't groups, how do you expect me to recolor if the entire model is one group?
The joint issue is fine, I can do that part, but the coloring can't be done without groups

I honestly have no idea how it works.
I figure I may be able to put each think that's a different colour into a group, but I've found it can cause problems with exportation.
I'll try but it might take a little time.
The whole grouping thing isn't really working and it's a pain in the ass, so I've been asking some people if they could joint and export using Blender because I know the colours work in that.
