News update:
Press Conference held regarding cannons. Citizens are assured they are perfectly harmless.

Non-important details:
The citizens are assured that the cannons are completely harmless. There is no ammunition at all, so the cannons can not cause any damage. A small amount of gunpowder is poured down the barrel, and ignited. The cannon appears to fire, but all it is firing is air.

There are spotters located near the cannons which keep citizens from wandering too close when the cannon is firing. Firing the cannons only take 2 minutes, so the interruption is only momentary.


Seriously maor, its ridiculous people would be concerned over a cannon firing blanks. Blank shots are traditionally fired during some flag ceremonies in America, they don't hurt anyone. I don't suppose they do something similar in Israel?
