Metal is only taken from the dispenser when you or another engie has missing metal when next to it. |

oh I always thought that was the case and tried to avoid dispensers in set up so I wasn't taking metal away after firing my gun I could've sworn they affect the meter/amount on it |

It's another step from valve pushing players to be more offensive with engineers (encouraging them to place dispensers in the front lines rather than their nest). If you can, place your dispenser in a place where everyone can easily get to it. I'm dumb. |
