--- Quote from: WingZero on November 30, 2012, 09:09:35 PM ---imo SoaS was weaker than BM in terms of drama. SoaS had a 3 minute build up to one sad event meanwhile in BM it's pretty damn easy to understand what is happening right from the first 6 seconds. prior to the sad moment in the former were comedic moments. BM begins and ends in an interesting way that would take some thought to understand and is also more fit for the drama category. --- End quote --- the buildup in soas is superb in the short time you know the sentry you see how much the engineer truly loves it, it's like a son to him, then the second his engineer sense goes off you just sit there denying the inevitable until that heartbreaking moment when you watch him dash into the room only to see his creation slipping away before his eyes, then crumbling into pieces and then we've got medic whose bird died and he shoots up some glowing red jarate before fighting some kind of birdman version of himself and just non-chalantly chops off his head I teared up during story of a sentry, felt the engineer's pain for his lost friend and felt so happy to see them reunited (whether in death or dream it doesn't matter), but bad medicine didn't make me feel anything except "what the forget am I watching" the bird was already dead so I didn't really have a reason to care about what he was fighting for |
