The setup.ini has data for multiplayer and server names and stuff... Although it seems to all be disabled... Edit: Most of the game files are in Game.enc, which turns out to just be a passworded archive. Does anyone know a program that can trace the communication between an application and a file so I could catch the password it passes onto Game.enc? I want to apply 'fun' to the game. Edit2: Maybe this: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896645.aspx Edit3: --- Quote ---Date & Time: 8/20/2012 1:06:14 AM Event Class: File System Operation: ReadFile Result: FAST IO DISALLOWED Path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Slenderman Games\Sanatorium14\Data\Game.enc TID: 8532 Duration: 0.0000042 Offset: 100,956,953 Length: 46 --- End quote --- --- Quote ---Date & Time: 8/20/2012 1:06:14 AM Event Class: File System Operation: ReadFile Result: SUCCESS Path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Slenderman Games\Sanatorium14\Data\Game.enc TID: 8532 Duration: 0.0000053 Offset: 100,956,953 Length: 46 Priority: Normal --- End quote --- So the password is 46 characters long? The program lists a series of access to Game.enc alternating between seemingly random length accesses and the above 46 length access, leading me to believe the random length is a file access and the 46 length is the password being applied. I seriously have no idea why the guy used this packer for it. This thing has over the top protection and seems to be freeware mainly used for making payware, which he can't honestly expect. In fact, he originally listed it as other maps having to be paid for, although now it seems it's all free but you can donate to them, which is unrelated to this. Edit4: Now I'm not sure: --- Quote ---Date & Time: 8/20/2012 1:06:14 AM Event Class: File System Operation: ReadFile Result: SUCCESS Path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Slenderman Games\Sanatorium14\Data\Game.enc TID: 8532 Duration: 0.0027101 Offset: 100,941,824 Length: 4,096 I/O Flags: Non-cached, Paging I/O Priority: Normal --- End quote --- |
