I think collision layers would be more convenient

I would love more layers. At-least one more. Having 3 - 4 would be a bit much..
However, the only place I see this being useful is on ModTer as you mentioned.

Also for those who don't know what he means, he's talking about how bricks can be built in water bricks because water bricks and regular bricks are on separate "Layers"

i get it, like in a paint program where layer 1 doesn't interfere with layer 2, but both are visible. i still don't see how this would be useful for though.

As the lairs work in Blockland, a brick on one layer type can support a brick of another layer, but you can still build in it (example: Water Bricks). GSF was hoping for a 3rd layer for terrain issues, as it would fix GSF's problem with trying to make terrain-style bricks work entirely properly with non-terrain bricks (especially ramps and so on). As a 3rd layer they could supported the bricks but still have some give for players to mess with.

That sure cleared it up.

It would be interesting. But I don't get what the new layers would be used for.

You can build in bricks that are in different layers.
We can build in water bricks because they're in different layers.

Anyway, no matter how many votes this getts, badspot probably wont even consider this.

Nevertheless, this is interesting. I support it.

I wish you didn't have to build on grid formation and I wish you could overlap bricks. :3

zone bricks, water bricks and normal bricks cover everything already
i don't even understand what the op wants

Zones are on the water layer.

I found a pretty easy way to make low gravity using events

I enjoy doing it for stuffs n gigs.

Making a zone have multiple effects could be cool.

Do you know how difficult it would be if you could just drag bricks around? I think it's as fine as it is, it's easy and simple to build.

We don't anymore layers than standard brick and water.
Events can handle lava.
I don't even know what layers you could have other than standard brick, water and lava.

I think it was Lilboarder who made a mod that allowed bricks to float and to overlap with each other. I may still have a copy, but I don't recommend using it. The thing made building nearly impossible.

Zones or terrain bricks.
