Chrono:
Ping is the time it takes to send and receive data from a connection.
Try closing any other programs that use your network, which includes but not limited to: voice chat, torrents (stfu plz), adware, streaming, etc.
Do this on all computers in the house. Not just yours.
If that doesn't help get out of Antarctica or get a better internet connection.
Aware:
Turn off Skype
