Suggest me a Strategy Game

Im in the mood for a good strategy game ive been looking at supreme commander 2 but
I dont know much about it other than lots of giant op robots killing everything
I got £10 although im sure I can sponge some more if I need to.

Forget the steam only thing I just want to be able to buy it online
I seem to think the only place to buy games online is steam
Im also going to try the world in conflict demo, the trailer looks amazing but I havent seen
any buildings in it yet and im not very fond of these kind of games where you cant make buildings
