Author Topic: I don't think I have enough blockland shortcuts on my computer.  (Read 2783 times)

I'd like to note that I've used up 3 Terrabytes of space in the effort to create a flawless shortcut folder.

I've figured out that with the proper method, I can condense the whole list of desktop shortcuts into roughly one fourth of the screen!

This way, I can have quite literally four times the amount of shortcuts on my desktop than before!

Get one of those trippy 3D desktop things, so you can have each "wall" filled with Blockland.

what the heck, this is why windows confuses me
is there no dock on windows? it doesn't seem like it in pictures i've seen

Their is, put I guess he only has it so when he scrolls is mouse over the area it is, it appears.

if there's a dock why even bother having applications on the desktop

It is easier to see the said Shortcuts to the specific program.

It's something only windows users will know

if there's a dock why even bother having applications on the desktop
Because currently running applications are what we're used to seeing on the taskbar, which is our 'dock'.

Not like it's hard to get to the desktop.
On XP/Vista, you can right click the taskbar and click "show desktop", on windows 7, there's a button on the very right to show it.

I'd rather have a grid of not only programs, but also files ready to access over a huge lineup of icons at the bottom of my screen. But I guess it's because I multi-task, which Apple hates.

Only my most commonly used programs are pinned to the taskbar (aka docking).
Like internet browser, steam, and MSN.

Build an operating system that runs only Blockland. It keeps only the parts of Windows necessary to run it.

This.

So much this.

best usage of 3 TB ever

oh

on macs there's just the dock like this

That looks like
a huge lineup of icons
You even went as far as to changing some of them for god knows what reason.

mine is on the side of the screen but most people have it on the bottom

for the same reason people change their background

for the same reason people change their background
Because a background is just a background. It sits there and looks pretty.

Icons are supposed to be functional. A quick and simple indication of what the program is.
