Ya, I did that a while back. I should see if I can replace the rat. The screensaver itself actually provides a way of replacing the wall and ceiling/floor textures, maybe something else, but not that. I'd have to do some hackish stuff in there.
Back on the subject of the game, the game source is actually provided with the game. If you don't like it, you could improve on it. The simplicity seems to be his way of being startling, but you could easily improve it with the source.
