What made it even funnier was that it even points it out in the subtitles and when he said it every single scientist in that room looked at him like he was insane

I couldn't get them past the turret and I didn't know how to turn it off, so I left them behind on the staircase.

I felt good after helping all of them, it was one of those moments where the game makes doing good deeds rewarding in themselves.

Same, but later on I actually was saddened by the fact that they were most likely gunned down by the military after I left :(
