MAX bricklimit?

What is the abosulute max amount of bricks I can possibly plant without causing serious problems to my players?
I realize 256k is the max you can set the pref, but I just successfully used a script to create over 500k with no problems, even if the ghosting does take a minute.

There is a hard coded limit to how many bricks you can ghost, but you can place as many as you want.

I believe that somewhere around 400k problems start.

256k is the limit on the networking end. you cannot create more than that and expect your clients to ghost it successfully.
