Doors that don't use .dts shapes to work, and instead are completely brick.
You can't do it with animation without a DTS of some sort, but you can make them just snap open if you want.

I also saw one in Wedge's Brick Party, but it's, as far as I know, probably private.
Edit: As of r1741, there are now doors by default.
