Do you mean that in that they're so similar in gameplay style and whatnot or that they're just all literally the same game except maybe with a different overworld and slightly different story?

Mostly the former, but kinda the latter, too. I mean I know there's a bit more to it than that, but as far as I'm aware it's the same basic formula every time.
