i wouldnt waste time learning a bunch of other languages first. maybe just the basics of one. its not like you need to "prepare" for torquescript or anything |

i started with torquescript and it DID kinda mess me up later down the road with C++ and whatnot, but basically it was a good brain activity. i think any language is good in that sense, regardless of which one you do first (as long as it's not a baby language like batch or something, let's not even consider that a language). logic, inference, creativity, and rationality. qualities that you should have and develop to be good at any programming/scripting/coding/anything. i think, for me, mostly it was just fun to have something to challenge my brain a bit and have a neat end result. (problem is it's harder to challenge it now and i lack sufficient inspiration to try so i end up not actually doing much anything anymore :c) this is why i'm confident about setro2 coding, maybe it'll help him develop a bit of logic and whatnot, and he'll be a bit less dumb (sorry, setro, it's the truth but that's fine i guess). granted that he actually tries. |

i know enough to do very simple things with some languages but overall i can't get what i want to work WORKING. |

So, Torque ain't horrible, just not the best. So I don't need to learn anything else; I can just dive right into it? |
