- No more add-on error conflicts (assuming gamemode is tested properly)
- New demo mode handling
- Ease of use
- Complete control
- Ability to still use old features through custom

it still sucks to have to extract the save.bls and the server.cs from the gamemode, and put it in as an add-on, in order to be able to host a server with administrations mods, etc etc etc etcetcetc
