He does have the chi based attack which makes him pretty effective from long range. When charging the attack no one can touch you but they can punch you. Once fully charged you can move and the fully charged attack will holster itself until release meaning you can move around with it. It's pretty damn useful.

That's my favorite thing to combo with, and I love when someone jumps onto a ledge just throwing it at them and they fly right off. fun times.

Sonic is... jeez just talking about that train-wreck of a character makes me nauseous.
out of those two, play meta knight.
lucario is okay. his counter is easy to dodge and his aura blasts move way to slow, he also feels a little too heavy and at the same time oddly lofty. his up b is also lackluster
link and meta knight are top-tier now, but i'd go with marth because he's very fun and versatile- dem side B combos man... aww yeah...
