There is also Louis' "Man, I feel like I'm Gordon Freeman" line. Then in the comic, you can see a Heavy bobble-head on his desk. There are tons of references pointing towards the fact that Valve's other games exist in the Left 4 Dead world. I also am pretty sure Chet has said that it takes place in our universe. Even so, there's enough evidence pointing towards the fact that it does. Point is, Counter-Strike does not take place in the same universe as Left 4 Dead. Nonetheless, it's pretty cool how some of the maps are fixed up versions of the chapters in Left 4 Dead 2. Nice to see what they could have looked like before the infection. |
