I just got utterly pwned by a Slug cruiser while trying to get the Tactical Approach achievement.
I managed to jump out but I was stuck on four loving HP and couldn't get to a store fast enough to heal.
forget dammit, from now on I kill all ships which either are of Slug design or have even a single Slug on board. NO MERCY.

It was actually really easy.

One time I got a glaive beam. But I was early in the game, had a level 4 weapons system and the power but... My Artemis, Dual Laser Cannon and Small Bomb were working so well together, and I was low HP, low fuel... I ended up selling it for the scrap to repair my ship and buy fuel.
