what if they had a 2 player co-op where 1 person was the ship while the other controlled the humans?

sounds cool
expanding on that thought, it would be pretty cool if you could have a whole crew of different players where they can all do their separate thing, but unless you work together you'll lose
of course the map would have to be bigger and if there are any people survivors then they could send out a distress signal and hope for another player ship
if pirates get you then you'll have to be their slave and wait to be saved or sold

but it would be an entirely different game if something like that happened, a set map and lots of people running into eachother

but here's an idea to add onto yours, if you're working as a slave you can attempt to take over or escape from the ship you're working

The biggest problem with the game is the saving feature, or rather the lack thereof
You can invest hours and hours into it, then screw something up and need to start all over again, losing all your progress instead of, say, going back to a checkpoint or something at the beginning of each sector.
