You can invest hours and hours into it, then screw something up and need to start all over again, losing all your progress instead of, say, going back to a checkpoint or something at the beginning of each sector.

That's the entire point of a rougelike.

WOLFPACK2:

ok i just finished my first run, i made it about half way through sector 4 before a rebel ship attacked me, it had lvl 3 shield and 4 weapons, while i only had 2 weapons and lvl 2 shield

overall opinion of the game: Fun as hell and i'm about to start my second run

better idea; what if it was like the machine on those soda dispensors except it teleported the money.

the idea still has some minor kinks, such as teleportation technology being lacking, but i think we can patent the idea.

I like roguelikes and I know how it feels to lose everything so do you think the game is more fun or frustrating?

Depends what kind of person you are. I really don't care if I lose anything.

Love this game. Really handy to open it and play when you're not doing much else/you're waiting for something. Feels really amazing to destroy the final boss and the game keeps me interested with all the unique playstyles, mixing different weapon styles and experimenting with ships.

One of my favourite playstyles is using the engi cruiser layout B. I flood the whole ship with vacuum and leave my one engi in the front while my robot servants run the ship in the back. Means fires and boarding parties become little worry.

Do not try to get the stealth cruiser.

Seriously, it's even stufftier than the Engi cruiser's Type B.

The stealth cruiser is easily one of the best ships. Stealth is such a powerful feature in this game. Your enemy can't charge their weapons while you stealth. it doesn't take long to buy shields either so once you get to sector 5 where you need the shields you should atleast have 3 blocks of it already.

I wonder what other weapons they could add to it, maybe a forever mode or something
