Author Topic: Anyone know a good book based on survival?  (Read 1789 times)

Am I the only one who hated the Hunger Games book? I thought it was full of less-than-mediocre writing and had a rather uninspired plot which we've all heard many times before.
A dystopian future wherein children are forced into an arena to kill each other on live television?

I can't say I've read a similar book.
The only thing mediocre about the plot is how convenient the setup is for a romance.
A boy and a girl (both heteroloveual, naturally) of age 12-18 (the target audience--imagine that!) sent into an arena to kill each other (so tragic!).

Twilight is pretty good guis!!!

The sequels to hatchet apart from all the ones except brian's winter are pretty good.

Let me simplify it
The sequels to hatchet apart from all the ones except brian's winter are pretty good.
Apart from- the following are not to be read
So basically,
don't read any of them except brian's winter

Battle royale? Or was that just a movie?

Into thin air

Best book ever

read Hatchet. it's about a person who has divorced parents, and he is going on a plane to see his father, but something goes wrong and he is stuck in a forest with only a hatchet and has to survive

Twilight-series

The reading itself requires survival skills.
