Author Topic: Battlefield 3 problem  (Read 697 times)

Whenever I try to join a server, I get this error:
Game disconnected: you were kicked by PunkBuster. Stated reason: PunkBuster kicked player 'DuckInvaders' (for 0 minutes) ... RESTRICTION: Service Communication Failure: PnkBstrA.exe
Does anyone know how to fix this?
I've contacted the BF3 forums, looked at other topics of people with the same error, and no one has found a solution. Apparently, I can join servers without Punkbuster, but there is a very limited amount of those. And I don't want to play with cheaters.

install punkbuster
that or uninstall bf3 and reinstall

Punkbuster sucks pretty hard. I can't play BF2 without punkbuster kicking me for having video card drivers.

Go to here and install the latest Punkbuster for BF3.

Edit: If this doesn't work set yourself as the DMZ host in your router and try playing if it works figure out which ports BF3 used and portfoward them, don't forget to remove yourself as the DMZ host afterwards.
