Stuck on "Objects"

I try to join a server, and when the load is halfway through the datablocks, a lot of text appears in the client's console saying that its failing to download sounds and textures. Then when I am done loading the objects, I cannot spawn.
I came across this issue 2 months ago, but I don't know how to fix it.
