Those blue and yellow platforms are supposed to be pipes with a blue liquid in them... You need to use ramp bricks.
I didn't want to encourage the ramp brick glitch. It lets you get mega speed and ramp bricks have silly collision problems which mean you can slip off easily, so I decided to make them flat like chemical plant's modern and classic versions in SG.
Also I submitted this to rtb around a week ago but still no word on it
