Another Resonance Cascade?

nah, they'll just take the teleportation experiments to Mars and its moons, opening a portal to Hell in the process.

HOUSTON — A warp drive to achieve faster-than-light travel — a concept popularized in television's Star Trek — may not be as unrealistic as once thought, scientists say.

A warp drive would manipulate space-time itself to move a starship, taking advantage of a loophole in the laws of physics that prevent anything from moving faster than light. A concept for a real-life warp drive was suggested in 1994 by Mexican physicist Miguel Alcubierre; however, subsequent calculations found that such a device would require prohibitive amounts of energy.

Now physicists say that adjustments can be made to the proposed warp drive that would enable it to run on significantly less energy, potentially bringing the idea back from the realm of science fiction into science.

IMPOSSIBLE! THAT'S A PARADOX

Okay okay, just kidding.

But seriously... If they do this I'm going to be a stowaway on the first ship out to the next nearest star system.

By the time I turn 30 this world would have gone to hell...
Better invest in guns and lots of them.

redneck logic
When some crazy man tries to kill you don't come crying to me when you don't have a gun to defend yourself.

except you'll go buy the biggest gun on the block and you'll never be able to use it correctly, assuming your scenario makes any relevant sense anyway

Really, you'd be better invested if you expected everything to be nuked out.

Brb getting several MIRV missiles to help stimulate the war cause everything needs to be like post apocalyptic cause that'd be cool n stuff lololololololololol

Kentucky.
Guns are never irrelevant.

This, is the final frontier.
to travel where no man has gone before....

Wait a second...
More places to go go with warp drive.
More planets to live on.
Awesome

Sounds like we would reach endgame fast and get bored of living.

This is truly an amazing breakthrough.

Still don't know how they'll do it though. I mean we aren't some advanced civilization capable of leaving the solar system; yet alone past the moon.

I would love to see how they would even be able to even afford or do this.
