In-game recorder

Blockland used to be able to record demos, but those weren't good and starting a recording would sometimes break the map's lighting and .dem files couldn't have anything done with them other than recording them with a third party program, so either way, you'd be using a third party recording program to get the game's footage

Except you could record a demo at maximum FPS, play the demo, and record the demo with a 3rd party software at a constant 60FPS.

I think there's a slight slow down while recording actual gameplay with programs like Fraps, aren't demos also slowed down because it's still gameplay?
I wonder if it's possible to bring back demos, but make them better somehow so that people would want to use it more, that seems like something only Badspot can do, but still

Fraps is really pretty good though. And @Freek, there are plenty of great free video editing programs, you don't necessarily need to spend money on those.
