What is the problem with Windows 8? I seen the post that mention's Microsoft's history, but still, my only concern was the missing classic desktop, but i guess i just didn't look at the picture good enough to see it on the bottom left

I've been using Windows 8 Professional on my laptop for several weeks now, it's pretty cool. I added a couple of SSDs and a blu-ray player and am currently setting up my desktop to work with a TV. I'm going to put Windows 8 on it soon and I'm positive that it will be awesome.

Ubuntu happily boots right along with it and GRUB works fine, although my laptop doesn't have secure boot so it works pretty much the way you expect it would.

CHNTPW also partially works on Windows 8. You can unlock local user accounts but you can't remove the password of live accounts.
