Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition problems

So, I bought Dark Souls on steam a few days back, and I finally got the time to play it. I try to open the game, and it says that it "Failed to contact key server". Can anyone help me out?

Make sure you have Games For Windows Live Installed. Also make sure you're entering the key validly of course.

I don't have much to go off of so a proper troubleshoot is kinda hard.
