How come the key system didn't have passwords? (POLL)

as stated this is utterly useless

If your key is stolen or known to be shared the key is deactivated. Just check out how many deactivations happened on January 1st, 2009

And without the password system, the same thing would happen.

if it's stolen it should be deactivated and you should open a support email
