Yes but it's alpha and the developers even said that they expect stuff to be badly broken on day 1, that's why we are here so we can give a community response on what needs to be fixed
Like I said, come back when the game releases and judge whether the game is too much about PvP or not.

The game is supposed to be more Players versus zombies than complete bandit deathmatch. Sure in the future they will add penalties but I still think that organized clans are still going to be a serious pain in the ass in the future.
A lot of players want to play the game without having to fear every single player they see.

They won't, but with stronghold servers you can password them and have your friends join and make bases and whatnot with full PvE

Stronghold servers are heavily limited private servers where you can just go and do random stuff. It's barely the same.

Because he wasn't a total loving richard like you. I've been killed by people with hammers and bats at least 20 times. I'm going to bring a handgun to one of the smallish pvp towns and shoot everybody that tries hitting another player with a hammer.
