Obviously it's Dwarf Fortress.

I just think it's a mind game the Russians play when they are drunk. Sort of like Russian Roulette, last one to withstand the signal without killing themselves wins a cookie :cookie:

I must do mother Russia's work!

You all Western Scumbags.

Due to the way high frequency radio wave propagation works its possible that you just can't hear it because the signal is too weak at your location. Alternatively, someone else could just transmit right over it. I'm assuming you're listening to it online and don't have your own shortwave radio.

I don't know how many people have radios online streaming it but if you can't hear anything on one you could try another.

The buzz is calmer in the link for the broadcast than on Wikipedia.

I'm on my phone now, but I'll get my headphones later and listen to it. I read the wiki, that stuff sounds scary.

HEED MY WARNING

JEFF IS COMING

This is an unsettling broadcast, simply because there's no easy explanation for why this would be broadcast for 30 years. It's also an imagery thing that generates this creepy, intriguing mindset. The idea of a Russian broadcast, possibilities of ties with the Cold War, abandoned facilities still broadcasting static, etc...

I'm sure the actual explanation is very mundane and uninteresting, but we can always hope that there's a cryptic meaning to accompany a riveting story. Oh well.
