Honestly I think they should add Artillery and TD's to the British tech line before adding another country.

I played the Chinese tanks on the test server, depression is really bad but they have a good playstyle that I was really able to get behind, I mean, I killed a t10 TD point-blank while being pushed against a mountain so the entire surface he could hit was flat.
The new sounds are really really nice as well, adds a lot of depth to the battlefield

New sounds for all tanks, or just the Chinese tanks?

New sounds for low-calibre guns and new sound effects for guns being fired at longer ranges away from the client.
Also sounds for shells hitting things like the ground and the water, it's all pretty nice

I don't recall them mentioning any surprises, it's possible that you're referring to the new American-French tank hybrids but I dunno

The brit medium tanks tier 1-2 look like the T2 medium tank.

A lot of early British tanks were American tanks which we were given on lend-lease and allowed to modify for ease of part replacement, since we were fighting a war on the ocean and in the air it wasn't really our priority to design and manufacture our own tanks, we made some in the early years but the bulk of our armoured forces were lend-lease variants for quite a while
