seriously, piloting a small fleet of ships and shooting things is a hell of a lot more fun than micromanaging a crew on a single ship by clicking
not saying FTL is bad, just saying I enjoy action a lot more than...whatever FTL is

I loving love this game, but it gets IMPOSSIBLE once you first encounter the zombies for realzies. Missions with them are a pain in the ass, because if you're focusing on destroying one of their big ships, you won't notice your ship getting overrun by zombies and it'll explode into a giant zombie ship or the batstuff handicapped AI UTA or civs will go flying into a giant fleet of them and turn itself into zombies and aaa its so annoying

and this is why you go to the outer rings and do some grand-scale destruction to level up and get Rez once you can harbor a forgetton of it.
